The Aleron team recently carried out a site visit and fire protection works at Mercedes-Benz, Tongwell. It was a fantastic opportunity to work within such a prestigious and high-profile facility.
Our work focused on installing passive fire protection measures to enhance compartmentation and support the site's fire safety compliance. Works included the fire stopping of service penetrations through fire-rated walls and ceilings, using a combination of batt, mastic, and coated boards. Particular attention was given to mechanical and electrical service runs, ensuring all gaps were properly sealed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
